We’re excited to announce an opening for a Licensed Veterinary Technician on our team. If you're passionate about working with horses and eager to bring your technical skills to a team that values collaboration and exceptional care, we encourage you to apply.

Responsibilities:

• Work directly with surgeons to manage hospitalized and referral cases, ensuring optimal patient care.
• Perform anesthesia for both elective and emergency surgical cases. (On the job training provided)
• Handle and restrain horses safely and effectively during treatments.
• Administer medications, perform diagnostics, and support veterinarians with treatment plans.
• Maintain accurate patient records and ensure proper documentation of treatments.
• Provide support during emergency calls, working alongside veterinarians in critical situations.
• Communicate professionally with clients, offering clear instructions and information about patient care.

Qualifications:

• Must be a Licensed Veterinary Technician or eligible for licensure in the state of Virginia
• Experience working with horses (not necessarily in a veterinary setting) is highly preferred.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to animal welfare.
• A valid driver’s license and reliable transportation are required.
