Dr. Wynnie Angus graduated from the University of Pennsylvania School of Veterinary Medicine in 2018. After graduation, she moved to Maine where she practiced as an equine veterinarian with Annabessacook Veterinary Clinic. During her 3 years with Annabessacook, Dr. Angus gained a wide variety of experience including primary care, emergency medicine, sports medicine, ophthalmology, and critical care of hospitalized patients. She is certified in acupuncture through the Chi Institute of Chinese Medicine in Florida. Her veterinary medicine interests include preventive care, acupuncture, chiropractic, lameness, and emergency care.
Dr. Angus grew up in Richmond, Virginia. She got her first horse when she was 11 and was a member of the Deep Run Hunt and Pony Club. Her equine pursuits have included polo at the University of Virginia, wrangling for the CM Ranch in Dubois, WY, and Skijoring with her horses in Maine. Her wide variety of equine experiences and lifelong passion for horses were her inspiration for pursuing a career in veterinary medicine.
