We can hardly believe it! Our internship is coming to a close! It feels like this year has flown by. We have had an amazing year full of great experiences. We both know that we would not be the vets we are if it wasn’t for the excellent mentors we have at Woodside. It will be tough to find another group of people that are so great to work with! Hillary Brown has accepted a job at a mixed animal practice back in East Tennessee! She is beyond excited to be back under the Smoky Mountains and get … [Read more...]

Drs Willis and Brown hit the road!!
This month we begin taking primary on call duty for ambulatory emergencies! This is a big step in our veterinary careers and we are ready. At last, my parents signed me up for riding lessons at a local barn and I fell in love with horses. Over the years, I was exposed to … [Read more...]
Goodbye from Drs. Velting and Sullivan
We're sad to say goodbye to Woodside. We expected our internship to be filled with long hours, lots of cases, and hard work but we didn't expect to become part of a family. We've worked hard but laughed along the way--thanks to selfies, jokes and impromtu dance parties. With this job sometimes if you don't laugh you cry. Special thanks to the clients who have … [Read more...]
Dr. Velting is headed West!!!

While in vet school, I thoroughly enjoyed large animal medicine and took as many blocks as possible, with particular interest in neonates and infectious disease. However, I … [Read more...]
